Got Hope?

As you saw in our latest video, “Need Hope?”, we found people truly needing hope, but not knowing where they can find it. We answered the question.

But THIS video is about those of us who THINK we have it.

What did you do to get it?

And now that you have hope, what responsibilities do you have?

It is a Timeless Subject with good info ahead.

Some of you see hope as a real possibility.

You see Jesus as God’s divine Son. You believe and trust him. You’re constantly changing your life to match His. You tell people who Jesus is – that is God’s Son. You have allowed someone to immerse you to have your sins washed away. And you are now in hot pursuit of this wonderful, new, refreshing eternal life in Jesus.

But this new-found Hope of living forever does bring with it some responsibilities, too.

It would be good for us to remember that Jesus fulfilled a prophecy by Isaiah. It was about the Jews living in and around Capernaum. Matthew recorded, “the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.”

That light was a hope of eternal life.

Jesus “oozed” that hope. He could build a relationship with anyone. He connected with lepers, the blind, lame, the deaf, or mute. He even inspired one man to tell of the changes Jesus had done for him.

Sadly, some people ACT like they don’t want hope. Some find nothing good, anywhere. Others are always telling of how bad their life is.

You know some of those people, don’t you?

Fact is People NEED hope. They need something good in their lives, something bigger, better, and that will last longer than they will.

So, here is your challenge: YOU be a LIGHT to the world. YOU can be that city set on a hill. Jesus said it first, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

The Christian’s job is very simple: Be like Jesus.

Hope needs to “ooze” from you, too. YOU become so much like Jesus that hope radiates to others. Let your hope be seen by those who find no good.

Let that expectation of living forever bring light to the broken, those needing hope.

And tell your family and friends how to get the hope you have.
