New Life Script

Where is the fountain of youth? So many have searched for it. Some have thought they had created it in a elixir or potion, but they still died. But I am here to tell you about something far better than the fountain of youth. It’s Real and eternal. It is called “the new life”.

But this new life, what is it? Can you do it? Should you do it? Who are you becoming? What is the end result?

Your answers are just 6 seconds away.

Intro

Once your sins have been washed away, through baptism, life really begins. What you were living before is, according to the New Testament, is death. “Ephesians 2:1  And you were dead in the trespasses and sins”

So, what is this new life? It is a life with a different, new focus. Instead of a life of sin, rebellion against God, self-destruction, and burdens under Satan, you have a fresh new life. You are starting all over again. Paul said it this way, “Romans 6:11  So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.”

With this new beginning, now you can, without any reservation, work toward what EVERYONE wants – Contentment, peace, joy, love, kindness, gentleness, patience, purpose, purity, control, and a hope of living forever. And so much more.

This is the life that God wants for you. Jesus said, “John 10:10  … I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

So, who are you becoming in this New Life?  Because you are putting God’s interests above your own, he will remove your worries about the necessities. It is a life that receives God’s satisfaction. Jesus said, Matthew 5:6  “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” We do good works so God can be glorified. Matthew 5:16  In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Now, anger, evil desires, swearing, and getting even is all in your rearview mirror.  Now you CAN love your enemies. And if someone gives you problems because of Jesus, NOW you can pray for them to learn what you are learning, or pray for them to change like you are changing., or pray for them to do what you have done.

And you will start treating others like you want to be treated.

You will be paying attention to Jesus and doing whatever he says. Jesus said, Matthew 7:24-27  “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  (25)  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.  (26)  And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.  (27)  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

And where will all this good life take you?

Into a great life beginning today.

But if you are thinking about a reward, well, it is described in different ways.

On the Judgement day, when God separates the sinners from the saints, you will hear, Matthew 25:34  Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

He also said, “John 5:28-29  Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice  (29)  and come out, THOSE WHO HAVE DONE GOOD TO THE RESURRECTION OF LIFE, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

The writer of James said, “James 1:12  Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test HE WILL RECEIVE THE CROWN OF LIFE, which God has promised to those who love him.”

Peter said it this way, “1 Peter 5:4  And when the chief Shepherd (referring to Jesus) appears, YOU WILL RECEIVE THE UNFADING CROWN OF GLORY.

Finally, Jesus said, “Revelation 2:10  … Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
