How to Pray? 9 Easy Answers
1. Do not use meaningless phrases!
Matthew 6:7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
2. Praise God in Every prayer!
Matthew 6:9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed (holy) be your name.
• God is Holy
• God is Loving
• God is Patient
• God is Kind
• God is Just
• God is all-knowing
• God is Faithful
• God – All-powerful
• God is Gracious
• And many more
3. Ask God to complete HIS work.!
Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
4. Ask God for your daily needs.
Matthew 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread,
5. Ask God for forgiveness
Matthew 6:12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
6. Ask God to keep us from temptation
Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
7. Be Persistent in Prayer. Keep Asking.
Luke 18:1-5 And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. (2) He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. 8. Pray with emotion and intellect
