Satan Defined

Strong’s Definition

Sat-an-as’    Of Chaldee origin corresponding to G4566 (with the definite article affixed); the accuser, that is, the devil: – Satan.

Thayer Definition:

1) adversary (one who opposes another in purpose or act), the name given to

1a) the prince of evil spirits, the inveterate adversary of God and Christ 1b) a Satan-like man

He Tempts

Mat_4:1  Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

Mar_1:13  And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to him.

He Works When People Not Aware
